Gently muddle mint leaves and a bit of lime zest in a shaker with a teaspoon of maple syrup.
Cool a coupe with ice.
Add 2 ounces @bannerdistilling wheat whiskey, 0.5 oz Vallet Fernet and ice in the shaker, and shake for 15 seconds.
Empty the ice from the coupe, rub the glass with a fresh mint leaf. Pour and serve with a mint garnish.
